great presentation, our advice would be to elaborate more on the programs that google has bought, such as you tube and baidu, so we can see in what other areas and programs google is spreading to. Also, you could go into mroe specifics about google, such as how many hits they get a day or other statistics about the actual website to show just how powerful and popular it is.

We think that it's awesome how you guys discussed do much in depth stuff about Google, but we also think you guys drifted away from your primary focus because you ask (rhetorically) if Google is too powerful, yet the presentation doesn't really explain how they allocate that power, where they exercise it, etc...
Also, Think about the Internet; it is a worldwide thing.. Maybe if you compared Google to other major companies you could explain how "gentle" Google is compared to other Co.s. right now and in the verbal presentation it seemed this group stated that the CEO(s) of Google did no harm because "they were too rich" and they dont need to take control of the web, but what if they did? what could be the effects, and what laws restrict them from becoming too powerful at this point? In addition, think about the older times in America when Rockefeller had all the oil, or another parallel that demonstrates something like a Monopoly.. Do you think Google is getting close to forming a Monopoly? after all, it IS buying out a lot of small tech companies.. could that be a sign? |

We really think that you guys hit on much of what there is to talk about. All of the great effects that google has are shown and we can't really think of much else to add to that, but we think that maybe a counter to the benefits might be helpful and kind of show what could happen from being to powerful or perhaps some things that are not beneficial to everyday people or other web companies.
